Chemonics International, a US-based international development consulting firm, is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for potential long-term and short-term positions for an upcoming USAID-funded Nepal Jal Jangal (Freshwater & Forests). This new activity aims to reduce multiple threats to ecosystems and species to converse nature, enhance human well-being, and safeguard the future with a focus on following objectives: 1) health of ecosystems improved, 2) natural resource safeguards and climate resilience improved, and 3) environmental crimes reduced. The ideal candidate will have a record of successfully implementing biodiversity conservation programs as well as passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Qualifications for technical specialists:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in relevant technical area; advanced degree preferred 
  • At least five (5) years of professional work experience; more for technical positions
  • Experience working collaboratively with the government of Nepal at various levels and with NGOs; experience with USAID or other donor projects preferred
  • Strong writing and interpersonal skills; professional fluency in English required
