SAHAS Nepal is a National NGO working since 1996 in the field of integrated community development which aims to enable small holders farmers and marginalized communities in Food Security and Nutrition with the vision of Prosperous and just society for future generations. SAHAS Nepal seeking energetic, committed and creative young to work on youth leadership development and climate change.

1.  Position: Youth Development Officer

No. of position: 1

Duty Station: SAHAS Nepal center office, Sanepa- Lalitpur with frequent visit to remote areas

Duration: 1 Year with possibility of extension

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Development Studies, Social Work, Sociology, or any other relevant fields with minimum two years of working experience. 
  • Previous working experience in youth development and mobilization
  • Good knowledge and experience on Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
  • Excellent command in written and verbal English 
  • Good interpersonal skills and analytical skills
  • Good facilitation and reporting skills
  • Experience in development of knowledge and communication products 
  • Data management and analysis skills 
  • Good team player 
  • Ability to work under pressure 
  • Frequent visit to remote areas

2.  Position: Climate Change Officer

No. of position: 1

Duty Station: Udayapur district

Duration: Till December 2021 with possibility of extension

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Forestry, NRM, Environmental Science, I.Sc. Forestry with three years of working experience or any other relevant fields
  • Conduct community-level climate change awareness
  • Technical support in plantation program for the CFUGs
  • Close communication and coordination with local government and stakeholders
  • Promotion of clean energy technologies, including ICS in the CFUG members
  • Forest survey, documentation and reporting
  • Close monitoring of the plantation sites, motivate communities to engage in forest conservation and social work
  • Support to prepare and implement the annual action plan of CFUGs 
  • Good facilitation and reporting skills
  • Experience in development of knowledge and communication products
