Social Development Centre (SDC) Mahottari is non-political and non-profitable NGO established in 1997 by a group of Terai marginalized group’s activists. Since then, SDC is fully dedicated to work in humanitarian assistance, community development, livelihood, Child Well Being and environmental protection mainly in the Terai region of Nepal through the humanitarian and long-term development projects.

In partnership with World Vision International Nepal, SDC Mahottari is working in “Protection and Community Engagement & Sponsorship Plan – Programme” and “Nutrition and Resilient Livelihood Technical Program (NRL TP)” in two Rural Municipality of Mahottari namely Ekdara Rural Municipality and Samsi Rural Municipality.  SDC Mahottari is seeking qualified, dynamic and motivated Nepali citizens on following positions for smooth implementation of these projects with potential candidates.

Programme Manager–

(No-1)

  • Master degree in the relevant field, management, social science of business studies preferred with minimum of 4 years of work experience in managing multiple projects with diverse team
  • Develop comprehensive operational calendar highlighting key milestones and financial projections
  • Ability to integrate multiple projects and cross cutting themes to contribute to strategic objectives and child wellbeing outcomes
  • Lead in effective governance, child and adult safe organization compliances and are practiced well
  • Have a good technical knowledge and experience on sector, data and information management

2Finance Coordinator - (Nos-1)
  • Master Degree in Finance/Accounting with Minimum 3 years of experience in independently handling budgeting, financial accounting, planning and analysis in I/NGO and preferably within WVIN projects.
  • General financial recording and book keeping using IPAS accounting software following World Vision Chart of Account.
  • Support and ensure all the payments are made following proper financial procedures.
  • Support the project/program team in preparation of monthly and annual budget.
  • Analysis of administrative cost preparation and it’s sharing to each project on fair share basis.

3SCM & Admin Officer – (Nos. 1)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business/management or in any relevant discipline with at least 2 years of work experiences. 
  • Identifying customer alternatives and facilitating access to the ‘best value for money’ for all products and services; 
  • Ensure major / recurring procurements are under strategic sourcing initiative;
  • Propose innovative solutions to increase efficacy through evidence based analysis for consumption by financial and operational dimensions, including price, quality and service;
  • Support in improving spending behavior, process, utilization, and optimize total throughput yield

4Sponsorship Quality Control Officer–  (No- 1)
  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or in any relevant discipline with at least 2 years of experience in developmental sector.

  • Ensure that Sponsorship Operations Indicator (SOI) reports are green and plan follow up action in case of variance
  • RC records and files are well managed, scanned and stored securely
  • Support field mobilizers to conduct and produce quality periodic mailings Annual Progress Report (APR), Seasonal Greetings cards and Child Expression Worksheets. 
  • Facilitate in the processing of all special mails; Seasonal Greetings cards, Spontaneous letters, APR, introductory letters within deadline.

5Field officers – Livelihood – (No- 1)
  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture sciences or in any relevant discipline with three years of experience
  • Support targeting and verify selection of participating households
  • Supervise and mentor Facilitators so that they can perform their duties effectively
  • Support project coordinator in oversee interventions to ensure effective and timely implementation
  • Oversee participant performance through household spot checks

6Field Officer – Nutrition – (No- 2)
  • Bachelor’s degree in allied health/nutrition or in any relevant discipline
  • Support Program Officer to effectively roll out nutrition activities in allocated health facilities, primary health care canter outreach clinics (PHCORC), health mothers group and community settings.
  • Support Program Officer in capacity building events for health facility officials, Female Community Health Volunteers, HMGs and CVA groups.
  • Maintain strong relationship with Health Facility staff, PHCORC staff, HFOMS and FCHVs

7Community Engagement and Sponsorship Plan (CESP)/UPG – Mobilisers – No-1
  • Intermediate or in any relevant discipline with at least 2 years of experience.
  • Conduct Child Selection and Registration process as per World Vision’s Global Child Sponsorship standards
  • Ensure sponsorship is introduced to Registered Children, their families, partners, community groups and local stakeholders in ways that are easily understood.
  • Engage and support in Sponsorship essentials during SIP reflection, PQSR and AP Annual Community Review Planning processes
